Scott Brown is certain that Brendan Rodgers was the right choice

After sealing the 5th successive Scottish Championship League for Celtic FC, Ronny Deila decided to step down from coaching the club and he was recently replaced by Brendan Rodgers.

The Northern Irish manager spent 3 years and 3 months in charge of the Premier League and he failed to win any piece of silverware during this period of time.

Brendan Rodgers became the first Liverpool manager in over 50 years to not win a single trophy; it was a fairly disappointing spell for Rodgers as he just couldn’t add any titles to his collection.

Even though Rodgers did not have a very successful time in Anfield, he is still being searched out as there are clubs that have offered managerial positions for the former coach of Liverpool and one of these clubs was Celtic.

A few days ago it was confirmed that Brendan Rodgers accepted becoming the new head coach of the Scottish outfit Celtic FC which is fairly surprising considering the underwhelming spell that he spent in Anfield and according to the captain of Celtic FC; Scott Brown believes that Brendan Rodgers is the correct manager to succeed Ronny Deila.

Celtic’s Scott Brown talked about the recent appointment of Brendan Rodgers as the captain of the Scottish club said: "It's definitely exciting. The players he will attract himself will be huge and everyone seemed to love his coaching at Liverpool and Swansea so it will be great for us to learn off him as well.People say we can't afford the top players now but we have just gone and got a top manager. He knows about the club which will help as he will understand what coming to a huge club with a big reputation is all about."
