A Celebrated Croatian Joins the Celtic Team

Josip Juranovic is a returning hero for the Celtic team, post the World Cup. Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is determined not to take up big-game gambles over him. The Croatian international footballer is due to come back to Lennoxtown by the last week of December 2022.

He had already taken a week-long break after the Qatar world cup tournament. Juranovic has gathered much interest in the center of the mass transfer movement. When he left the Middle East he was nursing an injury. This made him miss the third-place match that Croatia played and won against Morocco.

Postecoglou says that he will be assessed closely for his readiness before he is made to play in games such as against the Rangers or the Hibs. He plays in the right back position on Wednesday, 28th December 2022.
However, the manager is clear that he will not play at Ibrox if he is not in a full-playing position. Postecoglou is also juggling the health of his other players such as Alastair Johnston, the Canadian player, and Anthony Raiston. However, it would not give him reason to rush Juranovic back into action.
The Celtic team is also not sure that he would play in the Hibs game. However, that would also depend on his condition and fitness. Johnston has been training to play for the first team since he signed up with CF Montreal. Ralston on the other hand is trying to get in the game at Leith after he missed being part of the Christmas Eve game. That resulted in a win for the Celtic team over St Johnston.
Postecoglou also has several Japanese international players at his disposal. Reo Hatate in particular played outstanding in the game against the Saints. He even gained the Man of the Match title for his full-back performance. Overall, things are going well for the Celtic team as they embark on a new year ahead.
