Celtic FC sealed their 23rd league victory of the season

Celtic FC sealed their 23rd league victory of the season after defeating Partick Thistle with a final scoreboard of 2-0.

The team of Ronny Deila remains at the top of the Scottish League and now that the season is reaching it’s closing stages, Celtic are making their final charge to win the remaining matches and win the Scottish League for the 4th successive season.

Ronny Deila and his squad are in a very comfortable spot at the top of the league and the only club that could be able to take the league away from Celtic is Aberdeen but they will have to win all of their remaining matches and even if this happens, Celtic only has to win a few more points and will have the league secured for another year.

In 30 matches, Celtic has scored 63 goals which is a much higher amount of goals than any other club in the Scottish League but Ronny Deila believes that his team should do even better as he wants his team to be more clinical and score more goals whenever they are in front of goal.

It took 45 minutes for Celtic to score the opening goal of the match when they played against Partick Thistle on April 8. Kris Commons gave Celtic the lead at the 45th minute through a penalty kick and Stefan Johansen put the match beyond the reach of their opponents after scoring the 2nd and last goal of the entire match at the 63rd minute but Ronny Deila thinks that his squad could have more goals.

Celtic’s Ronny Deila spoke to reporters after the match was over as he said: "We opened the game very well. The first 15 minutes was very good and we should have scored one or two goals. Partick Thistle showed they are a good team, but we got our chances and our goals in the end and that was good. But we should be more effective in front of goal as we had a lot of chances that we should have put in the net. In the end, we should have scored more."
